Hurricane Dorian: Be Prepared!

The entire team at Sugaright expresses its concern for all of the people in harm's way of Hurricane Dorian. And we are prepared to assist you with any disruptions in your liquid sugar supply.

As of Friday afternoon, the current path has the storm making landfall north of West Palm Beach Tuesday morning as a dangerously strong Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph and gusts up to 160 mph. The storm would then move inland and slowly make its way toward Central Florida -- now projected to move right over downtown Orlando by Wednesday morning as a Category 1 storm with winds of 75 mph and gusts up to 90 mph.

Fortunately, the latest predictions show the most severe impact of the hurricane will miss our network of refineries. All Sugaright refineries will work together to cover any additional demand that may occur due to the disruption in the supply chain. We have adequate inventory in our plants that can be accessed to supply the impacted areas as needed.

To be proactive, we are encouraging our customers to consider moving loads earlier or after the expected landfall as transportation may be impacted during the storm. Our carriers are currently strategically locating assets to minimize any disruption.

And please stay safe.
