Best Practices Include Community Service

Sugaright employees included volunteering for a day of community service as part of their annual Health & Safety and HR team meeting this year. Sugaright Health & Safety and HR team members from US plants met to share ideas and best practices over three days at the Sugaright plant in Fairless Hills, PA. As part of that meeting, team members assisted with a fresh food distribution event conducted by The Bucks County (PA) Opportunity Council for Fresh Connect, a local community service agency in Ottsville, PA. Sugaright team members assisted in setting up the event, distributing food to clients and then breaking the event down.

Sugaright team members enjoyed the event so much that they have asked to incorporate community service activities into future meetings. Both the meeting and the service day were a great success, demonstrating that we can indeed “do good while doing well”.
